Valve Kicking Off Team Fortress 2 Beta

It doesn’t matter how long a game has been on the market, Valve believes there is always room for improvement. As such, it's launching a Team Fortress 2 public beta. This will allow the development team to experiment with various mechanics without breaking the game.

Valve plans on playing around with classes, items, and weapons, in addition to testing changes on maps and map variants. They will also use the opportunity to experiment with different play parameters such as doubling the player’s health.

The beta is available to all who own the game – just select “Team Fortress 2 Beta” from the Steam library to launch.
