Is This The PSP Successor?

Whether they're the real deal or just convincing fakes, get a glimpse of Sony's rumored successor to the PSP.

British gaming site VG247 has obtained images of a new PSP prototype or a convincing fake. Though they are grainy (and watermarked), the shots showcase many of the features we've been hearing about for the last several months, including two thumbsticks, a large HD screen, and multiple cameras . This is supposedly an older model of the unit; the most recent iteration reportedly doesn't have the slide-open design.

Rumors point to the system's release in late 2011, so we'll likely know if these shots are legitimate before too long.
