Florida Mother Kills Child While Playing Farmville
Alexandra V. Tobias, a 22-year-old mother from Jacksonville, Florida plead guilty to second-degree murder today, after shaking her baby to death while in the middle of a game of Farmville.
Tobias was arrested back in January after the death of 3-month-old Dylan Lee Edmondson. Tobias told investigators that she became angry when the baby started to cry during a game of FarmVille. According to a Jacksonville news site, Tobias admitted to shaking the baby, then smoking a cigarette to compose herself before shaking the child again. She also added that the baby "may have hit his head during the shaking."
Tobias entered her guilty plea on Wednesday before the Florida courts and could face anywhere from 25-years to life in prison.
This is a truly sobering story and our hearts go out to the friends and family member bereaved by this tragic incident.
