(For those wondering, a furloc is a hybrid born of love between a Murloc and a Worgen. It may sound crazy now, but just wait until the eighth expansion, when they become a playable race.)

Still waiting on the live raid panel to start. These guys better at least be as good as In Defense of the Genre, the guild that I understand to be the greatest World of Warcraft raiding guild on the planet.

Blizzard has gone in to re-balance a bunch of raid bosses specifically for this live raid event.

The raid actually takes place in Orgrimmar. They're calling it "A Defense of Orgrimmar." A bunch of Twilight drakes are attacking and Paragon has to defend the Orc capital city.

Paragon has no idea what's going to spawn or when.

First up - a bunch of Molten Core bosses!

They're going to fight four of the old MC raid bosses at once. Paragon didn't even know this took place in front of Orgrimmar until 60 seconds ago.

They're going at Wave 2 again now.

Onto Chromagus now, who Blizz keeps saying they should've done first. "They've got a Goblin DK tanking the Beast. That's awesome."

Slow and steady - it seems like they're gonna get through this wave without much trouble.

Chromagus is dead. Onto Lashlayer.

Some totally absurd DPS -- about 200,000. Apparently in the beta, they've seen some guilds break 300,000.

Tank-and-spanking Lashlayer. He's almost dead. "Maybe we need to engage wave 3 while they're finishing this." Crowd cheers at this idea as Lashlayer dies.

A bunch of Twilight Drakes in the sky. "I wanna see all those drakes land at once." "Oh, they will."

Wave 2 defeated! For anyone who's raided, it's hard not to be impressed by Paragon watching this. "That's enough of the old school. Onto the new school."

Four heroic Cataclysm dungeon bosses that have been juiced up a lot. "from what I've been reading on the forums, it sounds like it would take 25 people to kill any of the current Heroic Cataclysm bosses on beta."

Paragon is taking a little time to strategize. "Each one of these could kill Paragon very quickly."

As they engage, all of the bosses scream at them. "You can tell they're new bosses because they talk."

One of the bosses has a shield that shootes fire and just rocked the guild with it.

Another boss shooters out chains that hold the raid members. Mixed with the fire...that can't help.

Draws in five targets, chains them together -- they have to be broken out of chains in a short amount of time before he does a whirlwind and kills them all.

Yeah, they've wiped hardcore. So many mechanics to try and handle at once. I'm doubtful they can get past this one.

Cho'gall is watching over this all and is still gigantic and terrifying. I wonder if they'll have to fight him as well.

All of the tanks down. Bonecrusher BARELY killed before the last of the DPS bites it. Wipe #2

Alright, they're skipping the Cataclysm bosses and moving onto phase 4 now.

All the dragons from the cliff are coming down to fight now.

The dragons are flying into Orgrimmar and attacking the ramparts. Paragon has to go after them into the city.

Some of the dragons are on the ground while some are raining down fire from above.

"Are they able to fly in ghost form, or is it going to be really hard to get back to their corpses?" Silence... no ghost griffin, so they can't do the corpse run strategy now.

Paragon is holding their own. A couple deaths, but they're ticking the dragons down at a good pace.

Oh snap. Deathwing flew in and killed the crap out of everyone!

*For the record, Deathwing was like two or three times the size of any of the other dragons and one-shot killed all of them. Looks like they got a feat of strength Achievement for it, though.
