Nathan Fillion Campaigning To Star In Uncharted Adaptation

by Meagan Marie on Oct 13, 2010 at 04:07 AM

According to Firefly and Serenity star Nathan Fillion, the time to take a stand is now. Responding to the recent news that the Uncharted movie will, in fact, move forward, Fillion used Twitter to send a rallying cry to his fans. Turns out he wouldn’t mind being cast as Uncharted protagonist Nathan Drake.

“If ever there was a Twitter campaign, let this be it. Rise, ye Browncoats. Rise, ye Castillions. RISE!” Fillion instructed his followers.

Fillion is familiar with the gaming culture, having done voiceover work for Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach. A more important qualification, however, is sharing the same name as Drake. It’s as if he was born for the role.

In all seriousness, Fillion seems to have a naturally wry sense of humor quite similar to Drake. What do you think? Does he have the chops to play gaming’s newest critical and commercial darling? With Drake’s personality fleshed out so successfully by voice actor extraordinaire Nolan North, will it be strange to hear his trademark lilt change?
