Knives Chau Coming To Scott Pilgrim Game With New Modes

by Tim Turi on Sep 30, 2010 at 07:41 AM

I’ve had a lot of conversations with people around the office regarding whether Ramona Flowers or Knives Chau was the better choice for the impetuous Scott Pilgrim. A surprising amount of folks are on Team Knives, and their loyalty to the titular character’s 17-year old ex-girlfriend is about to be repaid, in the form of a playable Knives. Two new game modes and a patch are on the way, too.

Knives is reported to come equipped with crazy moves, her awesomely long scarf, and the ability to summon her mother and father for help in battle. Actually, everyone can summon her parents, considering she used to be the backup support character. The $2 DLC for PSN and XBLA will be releasing in November along with the DVD and Blu-Ray versions of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

The new modes are Dodge Ball and Battle Royale. In Dodge Ball players hurl a beach ball to take one another out. In Battle Royal, Scott and the gang fight to knock each other off a pedestal, which they only have 10 seconds to ascend before being disqualified.

The upcoming path will adjust the games difficulty as well as fix some game glitches, too.

We here at Game Informer love the Scott Pilgrim game, and hope that this is only the first of many DLC packs.
