More Cave Story On The Way?
Cave Story is an awesome Metroid-style platformer that didn't get nearly the amount of recognition it deserved when it released on PC more than five years ago. The recent WiiWare release helped introduce more gamers to this inventive title, but what if you don't own Nintendo's console? You may be in luck...
Destructoid is hinting that some exciting Cave Story-related news is on the way, after speaking with the developer of the WiiWare version of Cave Story, Tyrone Rodriguez. Rodriguez hasn't said what he and the game's creator Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya have planned, but stated that they're considering bringing Cave Story to more consoles, as well as bringing more of Amaya's creations to consoles. An XBLA/PSN release of Cave Story would certainly be an awesome opportunity for gamers who haven't played the game yet, but we'll have to wait to see what the official word is.
