Kinect Creator: "Kinect Will Blow Away Any Of The Sales You've Seen With iPad"
Um? I honestly don't see how Kinect and iPad are on the same playing field, but I like the enthusiasm that Microsoft's corporate vice president Kudo Tsunoda is showing for Kinect. How many units will Kinect have to sell this holiday to top iPad's impressive launch? Apple's wonder device sold over one million copies in its first month, and in 80 days has sold over three million units.
That's a tough feat for an expensive add-on peripheral, but Kinect does have a lot of buzz/curiosity behind it right now. We'll see. In an interview with Gamasutra, Kudo also added "the Xbox 360 is already selling better than the Wii and Sony right now. Kinect's really just going to boost that to a whole new level. People who love playing games like the same stuff. They like games that are fun. They like playing games where the more you play, the better you get."
