Trouble At APB Developer Realtime Worlds

by Matthew Kato on Aug 13, 2010 at 04:34 AM

APB wasn't the smashing success that Realtime Worlds hoped it would be, and there are reports that this has affected the studio's next game, Project: MyWorld (shown).

Realtime Worlds announced that it was restructuring after the release of APB – which is normal for any studio – and there would be some layoffs. Word from GameIndustry.biz, however, is that the Project: MyWorld has already gotten off to a rocky start. The game has apparently already been turned down by two publishers, and the developer's reduced staff is starting to harm the project.

Hopefully things aren't as desperate as they sound, and Realtime can continue on.
