Nintendo’s 3DS Release Date Gets Release Date

Nintendo’s new handheld gaming device, the 3DS, is set to change the world of handheld gaming sometime this fiscal year. If nothing else, it’s the only 3D ready device we’re really excited about. We just don’t know when we’ll be able to buy it. But now we know when we’ll know: September 29.

Gamespot recently reported on a Bloomberg Japan posting that mentioned that Nintendo would be making both pricing and release date announcements regarding the 3DS on September 29. Earlier rumors even hinted that the system could be out as early as the end of this quarter, but Nintendo has failed comment. We’ll just have to wait until September 29 to find out more.
