For Those About To Play StarCraft II: How To Catch Up On The Story
Maybe you never played the original StarCraft but you're jumping on the hype train for the sequel. Or maybe it's been twelve freakin' years since you've touched the classic RTS's campaign mode, and you can't remember some of the important plot points. Whatever the case, it's likely that one or two gamers may be looking to catch up on some StarCraft backstory before jumping into StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.
Sure, you could spend hours scouring the StarCraft Wiki for every last drop of story, but I've been looking for a more elegant solution, and I think I found one. YouTube user GroundXaero has been posting some fantastic story recap videos from StarCraft and its expansion, Brood Wars.
GroundXaero's videos include cinematics, between-mission briefings, and any story bits that happen during the missions, meaning you shouldn't miss out on anything. The only problem is that he or she posted all of the Terran campaign videos from StarCraft back in February...and then proceeded to take a five month break.
Thankfully, they're back at it, having posted a whopping nine videos in the last two days. So far the videos go up through the first campaign of the Brood Wars expansion pack. Hopefully the next two will follow quickly, so everyone can be on the same page as they step into Blizzard's latest RTS masterpiece.
