BioShock 2’s Multiplayer Dev On The Darkness Sequel

by Tim Turi on Jul 25, 2010 at 11:02 AM

We already knew that Starbreeze Studios, the developer behind the original The Darkness and The Chronicles of Riddick, wouldn’t be working on the next video game entry in Jackie Estacado's adventure. Today we’ve learned that another established development house is working on the title.

Emmanual Pappas from developer Digital Extremes recently posted a resume which confirms the studio is working on the sequel. Digital Extremes is responsible for the fun and capable multiplayer of BioShock 2 and Unreal.

Much like the series’ protagonist, The Darkness 2 has been skulking in the shadows surrounded by mystery. We’re glad some light was cast on the elusive title without us getting our hearts devoured by tentacle demons in the process. Phew.
