by Bryan Vore on Jul 21, 2010 at 08:20 AM

Ubisoft and DC Comics' Wildstorm are putting out a Driver comic book to promote the upcoming Driver San Francisco game before it hits consoles and PC in early 2011. A free preview issue will be given out at both DC and Ubisoft's booths during Comic-Con.

The comics will take place right after the ending of Drive-three-er and leads into the new game. Hopefully, this will somehow explain how Ubisoft plans to make an entire game story out of Tanner's coma dream world.

Famed artist Jock (The Losers, Batman) will be doing the covers with Greg Scott (Gotham Central, Case Files: Sam and Twitch) drawing the actual book and David Lapham (Stray Bullets, Sparta USA, Young Liars) writing.

If you're going to Comic-Con, you can get thee free promo issue signed by Jock at these times and locations:

  • Thursday, July 22nd, 2-3pm, DC Comics booth (#1915)
  • Friday, July 23rd, 11am-12 noon, Ubisoft booth (#4245)
