Medal Of Honor Limited Edition Offers In-Game Rewards

by Matt Miller on Jul 13, 2010 at 08:04 AM

EA announced today plans to award special guns to players who purchase the special limited edition.

Rather than offer toys, trinkets, or other paraphernalia for gamers who purchase the limited edition, players will instead receive the MP7, a weapon used by Tier 1 Operators. “Access to a weapon like the MP7 will allow players to experience a tool developed with the Special Operations Community in mind. With its light weight, high rate of fire and its ability to penetrate body armor, the MP7 handles like a pistol yet allows targets to be engaged like a rifle," reads a statement from executive producer Greg Goodrich.

In addition, the Limited Edition includes the TOZ-194 and 870MC2 shotguns, two weapons that otherwise require players to rank up in order to unlock.

This Limited Edition releases on October 12th, and is available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC for $59.99.

EDIT: In the original story, we mistakenly listed the limited edition as only available for the PlayStation 3. The limited edition is actually available for all three platforms. The text has been altered to reflect the change. Thanks to reader Dan for catching the error. We apologize for any confusion.
