Mega Man Takes Out Mega Man
Mega Man has been a thorn in the side of Dr. Wily forever. Of all the attempts to stem Mega Man's assaults, the mad doctor's best was also one of his earliest. Cloning the super fighting robot and orchestrating a mirror match was one of the toughest, most intense moments in the classic series. That harrowing fight has now been immortalized on canvas.
Flickr user slusk666 slapped a bunch of blue, cyan, and other bright colors onto onto a canvas to capture the heat of the moment. Taking a look at the pictures below, you can see that the artist utilizes every inch of the medium, creating a cool wrapping effect. He's also got a slew of other awesome gaming-related art, so check it out.
The biggest question this piece of art raises is who's winning? The do-gooder and doppleganger are indistinguishable. My knee jerk assumption is that the Mega Man on the left is our hero, attacking the copy. I think it's more interesting to believe the opposite however, because some of the best masterpieces convey strife rather than triumph.
Either way, someone is going to explode into flashing balls of light soon.
