Parade Magazine Writer Test Drives Natal...And Films It

by Annette Gonzalez on Jun 07, 2010 at 10:30 AM

Parade covers video games? We were just as surprised as you probably are to discover this news. Parade, the national Sunday magazine distributed through newspapers, got what appears to be a private hands-on session with Microsoft's Natal, and they posted a video on YouTube to prove it. Check it out below. Warning: Arm flailing ahead.

Writer A.J. Jacobs got a chance to test drive the peripheral along with a woman and a couple of young boys who had one Pixy Stix too many. What's more strange than their uncoordinated arm flailing is that Microsoft chose Parade to get a first look. This certainly tells us something about the demographic they're targeting. If Microsoft is looking to market toward a casual family audience who may not play video games, Parade is probably the way to go.

Of course, the rest of us will get a chance to look equally goofy when we check out Natal at E3 next week. We can only hope that someone immortalizes our awkwardness on Internet video.
