Heavy Rain Movie Deal On The Horizon
We all loved playing our part in the piece of interactive cinema that is Heavy Rain. But what about those gamers whose thumbs are sore but still want to experience a gripping story? A Heavy Rain movie may be closer than you think.
Bidding over Heavy Rain screen rights is nearly completion, and it looks like Unique Features may be the lucky winner. Unique Features was founded by ex-New Line folk Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne. Shaye was so enamored with Heavy Rain that he shelled out the cash for the rights instead of waiting for potential partner Warner Bros. to back him.
Considering Heavy Rain already uses many real actors’ likenesses and voices in the game, it will be interesting to see what Unique Features does in regards to casting...if the movie ever sees the light of day.
