Aliens Vs. Predator Reigns In Sales Over Bayonetta

by Annette Gonzalez on May 14, 2010 at 02:07 PM

Today Sega has reported its fiscal year results (ended March 31), with Aliens Vs. Predator coming out with surprising retail sales. Even though the game earned less-than-stellar review scores, AvP beat out Bayonetta in sales.

AvP sold 1.69 million units among U.S. and European territories, while Bayonetta only sold 1.35 million in the U.S., Europe, and Japan combined.

The ultimate seller, however, is none other than Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter games with a total 6.53 million units sold in the U.S. and Europe. I guess the popular franchise boys make one hell of a pair.

What do you think about the results?
