Capcom: Exciting Things Happening In The Mega Man Space
Blue Bomber fans still chewing on the challenge of Mega Man 10 would do good to look up from their game over screen for a second. Capcom’s Seth Killian recently shared that there are surprising things down the road for Mega Man fans.
Killian, Capcom’s community manager, recently spoke with Destructoid about their bread-winning Mega Man series. Apparantly, going 8-bit isn’t the only trick up Mega’s arm cannon.
“It's good. I don't want to say nobody has seen it coming,” said Killian. “Somebody may have seen it coming. But it excited me and when I heard about the project, I was like, 'Holy crap. That's rad.' I actually haven't seen anything that's going on with the project right now but the idea was exciting.
“This is still kicking around as a concept. But there are exciting ideas in the Mega Man space.”
I’m personally hoping that Mega Man X hops back into the picture with a 2D continuation of the series. Mega Man 9 pulled off a successful return to NES-era graphics, why can’t Mega Man X9 reunite with SNES technology?
