Drew Brees Selected For Madden NFL 11 Cover
New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees has been named the cover star of Madden NFL 11.
The Super Bowl-winning QB and MVP beat out Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne in a fan poll to determine the cover athlete which started a few months ago.
Of course, being on the cover opens up Brees to the possibility of getting hit by the Madden Curse. One of last year's cover stars, Steelers' safety Troy Polamalu, didn't even make it out of the first game of the season before he blew a knee.
The Saints open up this year against the Vikings, so I wonder if poll-loser Jared Allen sacks Brees and inflicts the Curse right there and then. How long before the Curse hits Brees, if at all?
Madden NFL 11 comes out for the PS3, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, and iPhone on August 10.
