Activision Dishes Out Bonuses To Infinity Ward Employees

by Ben Reeves on Apr 22, 2010 at 01:10 PM

Boy are we tired of covering the fallout from the Infinity Ward/Activision catfight, but it seems that things keep getting more and more juvenile. Activision has declared that they will finally be paying out bonuses for work on Modern Warfare 2…to those employees who stayed with the company.

As Joystiq.com reported, Activision hired a new community supervisor, Dan Amrich, and Amrich recently had some interesting things to say on a Facebook.com thread. “Vince and Jason had very large bonuses; those bonuses are being redistributed to everybody else, to the people who did not allegedly attempt to steal company secrets. (Please see Activision's countersuit for details about Vince and Jason's surreptitious attempts to photocopy and scan sensitive documents.) Activision is not pocketing that bonus money; it's still going to the people who work at IW. But you have to work at IW to get it.”

Of course, some of the employees who have already left the company are still claiming they are owned a bonus. It will be interesting to see what the courts decide regarding all this. Could this get any bloodier?
