Download Lost Planet 2 Multiplayer Demo For Charity

by Phil Kollar on Apr 21, 2010 at 10:48 AM

If you haven't been lucky enough to stumble onto an unlock code for the Lost Planet 2 multiplayer demo in the past few weeks, your wait to try out Capcom's upcoming shooter is officially over (give or take a day for PS3 owners).

Capcom has announced that the multiplayer demo for Lost Planet 2 is now available for download on Xbox Live. The PlayStation 3 version will be available as part of the regular weekly PSN update.

The multiplayer demo features a single multiplayer map, Turbulent Jungle, but Capcom is giving gamers one other really great reason to play: charity. The publisher has teamed up with the Music for Relief organization and is pledging to donate $20,000 if one million Lost Planet 2 demos are downloaded by May 5. If another 500,000 are downloaded on top of the initial million, Capcom will throw in an extra $5,000.

Capcom will be holding a celebrity tournament in Los Angeles on May 6 to determine what Music for Relief program will get the money, but in the meantime everyone should get downloading to ensure that it hits its goal.
