The DRM Saga Continues: Ubi Offers Free Stuff To Locked-out Players
After a server problem on Ubisoft's end locked legitimate customers out of Assassin's Creed 2 due to the company's controversial DRM scheme, the company is offering complimentary games and/or DLC to affected players. Kotaku is reporting that owners of Assassin's Creed 2 have been receiving emails with promotional codes for older Ubi PC titles like EndWar (for AC 2 collector's edition purchasers) and the add-on DLC levels for Assassin's Creed 2 (for owners of the normal edition).
Between this and Settlers 7 being awesome, some of the sting has been taken out of this draconian DRM solution. Is that enough for you, or do the fires of rage still burn in your heart?
