Netflix On Wii Almost There

There was a time when being able to stream a Netflix movie onto your TV was exciting and futuristic, but now its so passé that even Wii owners will soon be able to stream the rental giant’s content into their living room.

This is actually probably exciting for those who only have a Wii. According to Industrygamers.com, Netflix has already started shipping Netflix streaming discs (similar to those used for PS3) to some Wii owners in order to test the experience. Those interested in signing up to receive a disc should sign up through their Netflix account.

Is anyone out there planning on trying this out? We finally turned on our Wii to play Cave Story, so we might as well watch a few movies while we’re at it.
