Episodes From Liberty City PS3, PC Delayed
In January, Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City would be available on the PS3 and PC, slated for a March 30 release via retail or digital download. Today Rockstar announced that the release will be delayed until April.
As stated on Rockstar's newswire: "Due to a last minute game submission request from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to edit some of the in-game Liberty City radio station, television, and internet content – we are forced to delay the worldwide release of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for both PlayStation 3 and PC for an extra two weeks."
The new release dates set are April 13 in North America and April 16 in Europe.
The cited reason for delay is to re-test the edited European version and re-submit the game to PlayStation for review. The reason the Europe version is specifically being edited is to comply with the regional ratings board. Even though the European version is the only version affected, both European and North American versions are delayed so that they still release within the same week. Also note to prep for the release, GTA IV PS3 leaderboards at Rockstar Games Social Club will be down for one week beginning March 22.
Are you bummed about the delay? Or perhaps you've waited so long for this release that another two weeks won't hurt, right?
