Super Mario Galaxy 2 Screens Hint Linear World Map

Earlier today it was revealed that Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be hitting Wiis May 23. We also brought you a brand new trailer for the game featuring a ton of new moves from Yoshi. Now we're pleased to bring you a batch of gorgeous screens from the game, complete with a possible hint at the a new world map structure for the game.

Picture below is a very curious little screen shot showing off a path between galaxies. Could this mean that there will be no hub world in Super Mario Galaxy 2, and that you'll instead select independent galaxies via a linear world map? I was a big fan of the castle overworld. Would you miss it if it were absent in Galaxy 2?
