Indie Game Challenge Winners Announced

by Meagan Marie on Feb 22, 2010 at 03:19 AM

During the recent awards ceremony hosted by G4 TV’s Adam Sessler, the Indie Game Challenge Winners were announced. So who walked away with the big prizes? Check out the winners below.

Non-professional $100,000 Grand Prize Winner: Gear
Professional $100,000 Grand Prize Winner: Cogs
Technical Achievement ($2,500): Altitude
Achievement in Art Direction ($2,500):  Cogs
Achievement in Gameplay ($2,500):  Cogs
Gamer’s Choice Award ($10,000):  Altitude

Cogs seems to have made a large impression with the judges, nabbing three of six possible prizes. I’ve had a chance to play the game myself for the upcoming Independent Games Festival awards, and can vouch for Lazy 8’s excellent work. But congratulations are in order for all nominees and winners.

In the mood for more indie? Be sure to check back next week when we roll out a full seven days of indie game coverage leading up to the 2010 IGF awards.
