This March, Capcom brings Street Fighter IV to the iPhone.
It's a little strange envisioning a fighting game with no physical buttons, but Capcom has created a work-around with a virtual pad and buttons recreated for the touch screen. The latest art style from the current-gen Street Fighter titles will be present as well with minimal loss of quality from its console iterations.
The full roster has yet to be announced, but Capcom has confirmed that Ryu and Ken will be available. The company says the roster will include classic and new characters to take with you on the go. Street Fighter IV will allow multiplayer via Bluetooth between two players. Other details are limited, but we'll be sure to provide the news as it breaks.
We look forward to seeing how the game will fare on Apple's mobile device. What do you think about bringing SFIV to iPhone? Excited? Concerned?

Yes!!!! im finally going to enjoy a really good game on my iphone, if anyone has a good game i can play please tell me thanks
i doubt this will be even a fraction of the awesomeness of the actual game
Awesome! Anyone with an iPhone or iPod Touch knows that fighting games work beautifully on our iDevices. Gameloft's Blades of Fury is a perfect example. Awesome graphics, controls, gameplay, etc.
"massivevideogamer" up there in these comments is an ignorant tool. He is just one of those fake gamers afraid and upset that the iPhone has become the leading platform for portable games. He probably can't afford one, so to make himself feel better he will bash it. He's also probably the type who swears he has one, but just try and ask him a simple question about it that only a true owner would know and he freezes up, lol.
On my iPhone, this very second, I have full 3D Console Quality games. So there is no reason why fighting games can not be done on this platform, especially since they already have.
nah. idt it will work
As long as they don't mess up the controls, I'm sold.
who cares if this is gonna suck, just saying i have SFIV on my phone just screams awesomeness!
I can't see the controls actually working well.
Can't control any worse than the 360 d-pad.
Wow Ed, fanboy much?
doubt this is gonna be good
I have an iPhone but I have no idea how this would handle. I wouldn't call the iPhone a great gaming platform. I usually get simple games that can keep me entertained for road trips and stuff.
@der023 I agree. As long as the controls are solid I'll definitely buy it. Its been a while since I have played a game on my iTouch.
hehee i cant wait! Im sure the controls will be fine.
Unexpected move...will be interested to see how it fares but my money is on a meh app...
yes i would STIV for the iphone/ipod but i would like it more for the psp
awesome. now i need an i-phone.
Oh I know some of the family is going to be happy about that.
Hoe sad is it that it seems the iphone can do better graphics than the Wii?
That's good to hear, I'll keep an eye out for it. Although using the buttons on screen might be a little annoying.
I don't have an iPhone and I'm not really in to fighting games, but I hope that this high profile exposure will cause other companies to wake up and take notice. Everyone has a cell phone, and a lot of people like to play games. Why not give people good games for their cell phones? Just a thought.
