Quantum Theory Pushed Out Of March

by Tim Turi on Feb 02, 2010 at 05:55 AM

Publisher Tecmo Koei thinks that their upcoming third-person shooter Quantum Theory needs just a little bit more time in the cooker. So what does the company have to say about its aspiring “third pillar” within the Dead Or Alive and Ninja Gaiden dynasty? Read on.

We can confirm that Quantum Theory has been moved to later in 2010,” the company confirmed. “We feel the game deserves optimum development time, and we aim to deliver the very best title we can. We are still thoroughly committed to Quantum Theory and this short delay can only make for a stronger, more entertaining game.”

The PS3 and 360 game is all about heroes Syd and Filena’s battle through a living tower. The duo mows through swaths of enemies while solving puzzles that require teamwork. Basically, Filena mounts Syd’s arm and the huge warrior launches her into otherwise inaccessible areas. So basically, Syd has a living boomerang; eat your heart out, Link!

News of the delay comes hand in hand with reports of Tecmo slashing its profit forecast by 97 percent and their stock falling 9.5 percent. It looks as if hard times are falling on Tecmo, but we hope that both the company and Quantum Theory persevere.
