Bayonetta 2 Confirmed?

Hey, you liked Bayonetta didn’t you? Of course you did, with its sexy witches, insane action, multifaceted serpents and other epic bosses, what was there not to like? In that case, you might be interested in this little tidbit: In a recent interview for the March issue of Game Informer, Platinum Games director Hideki Kamiya teased what the company might be working on next.

According to Kamiya, “We obviously have love for the work we have created, so I don’t see anything wrong with Bayonetta 2. Personally, I’d like to approach the world of Bayonetta from a different angle, in the form of a spin-off.” Perhaps a game starring Jeanne? Could be cool. Then again maybe the game could star one of those flying baby heads that Bayonetta had to shoot out of the sky. We wouldn’t put it passed those guys.

For more from Kamiya about Bayonetta be sure to check out our Afterwords section in the March issue of the magazine where he answers questions from the fans about Bayonetta's character design, what her name means, and where all that hair came from.

Anyone else excited over the possibility of a sequel for this game? Would you want a spinoff, or would you rather see Bayonetta return to the limelight?

  • I THINK BAYONETTA 2 WOULD BE GREAT, SINCE THE FIRST ONE IS SO *** GOOD.

  • What about a sequel/spinoff with Bayonetta, Nero, and Dante.  Have them fight each other something.  That would be cool.

  • I would definitely buy a Bayonetta 2.  I would prefer it would be Bayonetta though as the star.  As most know, if you beat the game on some other mode you can get Jeanne as a character.  Which if anyone knows all the weapons are different(Name and color wise) and her moves are somewhat different.  I would just make it so Jeanne can be a playable character again later.

  • pls take out the stupid cheese...the rest just need to be even more tight..

  • That sounds like it would be pretty awesome, actually, lol.

  • A second one already? It just came out and, not saying the game was bad, but didn't it not have that great of sales?

  • GARBAGE !!!!!  dont get me wrong i think its a dope game , but this is not needed !

  • @DJ JEMANI

Seriously man, just get out, everytime I see you on here posting something, all you do is trash games... First with Dead Space and Mass Effect, then Army of Two: The 40th Day, now this?

    It's not needed.

  • BAYONNETTA 2 Please!! A spinoff with Jeanne would be cool but I love Bayonnetta make more games like this please

  • I wasn't really impressed with Bayonetta. I can't believe that they are already talking about a sequel so early.

  • A spin-off? I'd rather they stick to the main game but I was never into the story so I'd give it a shot.

  • Yea they beat the whole angel story line maybe next they could focus on pitting bayonetta against the demons after her in hell.

  • Staff

    Please god yes.

  • @sphinx42

    lol

  • You know, I played the demo for this game and while the combat was fluid and the graphics pretty great, the falling on a piece of debris and fighting was not me. I was completely confused, maybe I'm getting too old (28) but I just couldn't keep up with the action and quickly lost interest. Only part I enjoyed was the tutorial.

  • SUre, why not? It is a good game... but why announce a sequel now?

  • I haven't played the first one except with a demo but from what I saw with the insane action, I don't think it would be a bad thing at all.

  • Am all for it. Not sure about it being a spin-off, though.

  • Bayonetta fo sho. Jeanne would be cewl, but Bayonetta was much cooler. I would also like to see a new character, that would be badass

  • ummm....no. ONly if the ps3 version doesnt suck my place
