Dragon Age: Origins Coming To Mac…Next Week?!

by Jeff Marchiafava on Dec 15, 2009 at 07:10 AM

Bioware has teamed up with TransGaming Inc. to bring its latest epic RPG, Dragon Age: Origins, to the Mac. But unlike most ports this one is happening in record time, thanks to some newfangled tech TransGaming has dubbed “Cider,” which allows the company to “rapidly enable and deploy high quality titles.” Not only are Mac users not getting left out in the cold this time around, their version will come with all the trimmings.

Mac owners will be able to choose between a standard and deluxe version of Dragon Age, both of which will be available as digital downloads. The deluxe version includes in-game bonus items, the game’s soundtrack, and the Warden’s Keep DLC. Warden’s Keep adds additional quests, loot, and abilities, as well as a storage chest to hold your excess items, which should have been included in the first place.

Both versions for the Mac will have the Blood Dragon Armor included, as well as the Stone Prisoner DLC, which also gives players additional missions, environments, and items, plus a new super-powered party member. It looks like the Mac version is every bit the game the PC version is, and will be available on December 21 – just in time for Christmas break. Any Mac users ready to lose all their free time?
