Torchlight Gets Powerful Modding Tool
One of recent action/RPG Torchlight's major selling points is its extensive moddability, but the editing tool was slightly delayed from the game's October 27 release. Today, developer Runic Games has announced the public availability of TorchED.
Beta members have been playing around with the editor for some time already. You can take a peek at (and of course download) some of the early work at the Original Runic Games Fansite and Torchlight Insider. Runic has also put up some tips to get beginners started in the official forums.
Torchlight's low-profile release shouldn't stop you from checking out its quality gameplay. It's not quite an art-house indie project, but you can't go wrong supporting a small team that puts together a supremely polished game just one year from incorporating the company – and sells it for $20.
