EA Sports has released the first gameplay trailer for its upcoming EA Sports MMA game, highlighting fighters Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers. The two faced off at Saturday night's Strikedown event, which was broadcast on CBS, with Emelianenko scoring a second-round TKO. This footage won't change history, but it does offer a glimpse as to how both fighters will play in the game, set for a 2010 release. We had then chance to see EA Sports MMA in action, and we'll be posting our impressions Wednesday morning. In the meantime, here's the trailer.
all i gatta say is F THIS GAME. When Dana White came to them, they said that MMA was not a real sport. Then they saw how good UFC Undisputed was, and now they want in on the cash. hypocrites, that's all i'm saying. plus the game looks like crap.
I agree with you Sergio in the fact that EA definitely is jumping on the bandwagon. However now there are two mma games, and a possible rivalry brewing between Dana White and EA. This can only mean two companies trying to best each other when they both begin making sequels. Personally i think the game looked pretty solid, and i loved undisputed. Definitely going to check this out and hopefully this will spawn more in depth, incredible titles. Perhaps this will force undisputed to have a more in depth and exciting career mode to go along with their brutally awesome gameplay.
Yea, I wouldn't buy this game strictly on the comment made by EA.
Hey if you're not going to buy a game because a company said something bad or criticise another company you are really really DUMB. why you ask? because their problems are not our problems, all companies said bad thing about others. You just have to care if the companies care about us (the GAMERS).
Seems like Ive seen this somewere before...
game looks good. i think EA is full of BS, but atleast undisputed has some competition.. BETTER FOR THE GAMER!!!!
Is John Madden doing the talking in this lol.. just kidding I don't think I'll enjoy no playing as my favorite MMA stars. Isn't that kinda the point fighting against the ones you really want to with your created fighter.
@Juan Rodriguez: I am not, in fact, really dumb. Let me clarify; I will not buy the game anyways, because MMA is not me cup o' tea sir.
I feel like EA did a low blow.
yeah i agree with sergio the folks at EA are a bunch of posers. The UFC has had huge success and continues to, it will be the most popular sport in the world before long. Undisputed was a good title, i bought it and played through the career a few times and i for one think its a pretty good first stab at action in the octagon. This game doesn't look much better than Undisputed graphically and i cant imagine them expanding too much on the gameplay seeing as how it's their first take as well. And probably around the time this comes out a new Undisputed title will be out, and ill be spending my money on that. And really, who has heard of these guys until like the last couple of weeks since they talked about it for 2 minutes on ESPN? UFC is better..
I love Fedor Emelianenko. I think.. I may love him more than you GI..
The question is do people want to play a game without any off there favorite fighters. Think about it do mma fans even care about any if the fighters in Strike Force. *** except for Fedor all the Strike Force fighters are all pretty much unknown. I think this game will and up being like TNA Wrestling where no body knows any of the fighters.
Not to impressed with the video. It looks like crap compared to ufc undisputed which was a great game. Not gonna be getting this. I will just stick with ufc.
Unknown fighters? 5 top 15 heavyweights (Fedor, Brett Rogers, Couture, Overeem and Werdum). Virtually no light heavyweights, but Mousasi and Sobral are beasts. Robbie Lawler, King Mo and Cung Le are bad ass in the middleweight division. Scott Smith is an entertaining fighter, and Jake Shields knows how to win (boringly). And don't forget Mayhem Miller and the recent acquisitions of Bobby Lashley and Andrei Arlovski. These are good, known fighters. Maybe not to the general public, but if they haven't been on youtube, WWE, or The Ultimate Fighter... the sport doesn't get enough publicity to promote them.
I played the sh*t out of Undisputed, but it has its quirks. If EA can capitalize and show they know how to overcome those flaws, while maintaining the same level of entertainment and including a Madden-like feature set... this game could be really good.
