In an interview with Reuters, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said the company would like to share the movie rental service that is exclusively streaming on Xbox Live with other platforms. “Eventually we want to be on all the game consoles, all the Blu-ray players, all the internet TVs. So we are working in parallel with all of those efforts,” Hastings said. Currently our Xbox deal is exclusive and we haven’t characterized it more than that.” Does that mean you’ll be able to add movies to your Instant Queue on the Wii? How would that compete with the PlayStation Store’s rental service? It is still unclear how long Microsoft has until its deal with Netflix is up. Until then, PS3 and Wii owners will just have to keep the movie streaming to mailboxes.
I'd love to have Netfix on my PS3. I actually had my 360 go into red-ring mode while watching Netflix. It was a week and a half before i was watching again... LOL Seriously
It'd be nice if you couldn't buy exclusivity. I've canceled my Netflix account recently because the Blu-ray cost adds more to an already overpriced service. I just found that the Blockbuster service is cheaper even when I choose to receive one more disc, that includes Blu-ray, since they have no extra charge for it.
Just so everyone knows there are alot of streaming programs that will get Netflix on your PS3 if you have a PC and alot of them are either free or the trial version will do everything you need it to, some examples are PlayOn, Tversity, Pimpstreamer DLNA, my favorite media server is Ps3mediaserver, it doesn't do netflix but it's the best for streaming or transcoding files on your PC for play on PS3
I think I will keep my consoles for gaming purposes. I think I will keep my DVD player for Netflix and other rental services.

Yes Please! My PS3 needs Netflix! The PSN store and Itunes Charge to much for rentals, and they only last 1 day.
