Game Informer's First Annual Glitchie Awards
Sometimes they're entertaining, and sometimes they make you want to throw your controller across the room in frustration, but any way you look at it, glitches are an ever-present part of the gaming experience. Despite thousands of hours of play testing and millions of lines of code, almost no game is safe from the occasional technological breakdown. We combed the web to find video evidence of the most egregious and laughable glitches of the year. Here are the most notable gameplay glitches of 2010, plus one lifetime achievement award for a game that's featured the same annoying glitch for almost a decade.

Glitch of the Year
Jesus Bynum – NBA Elite 11
It's not every day a game demo is released featuring as many unbelievable glitches as NBA Elite 11. When the demo hit Xbox Live, gamers immediately started posting videos of the game's many infamous breakdowns, including the hook shot exploit, the rampant clipping animations, and, best, of all, Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum getting stuck at center court in a cruxifiction pose. The demo was an epic disaster that ultimately led to EA Sports canceling the game and taking away the development responsibilities from EA Canada. Not many other glitches demonstrate such power.
Lifetime Achievement Award
The Incredible Clipping Football – Madden Series
It's been years since football fans first witnessed a ball clipping through a receiver in Madden, but EA Tiburon has yet to address this major flaw in the passing game. For its unwavering and defiant display of neglect, we award the Madden series with the first Glitchie lifetime achievement award.
So there you have it, our first annual Glitchie Awards. Which glitch was your favorite?
