"Still honing the art style" + comments about why this is on the Wii + players always have options....  Sounds like a win so far to me.  Looking forward to next year and picking this up.

  • Love the way this game is coming along.

  • This game looks so very sweet.

  • Epic Mickey is Epic lol

  • It got cut short...just thought you'd want to know.

  • This has far more gameplay possibilities than I thought. Very cool stuff. I can't wait to see it in action!

  • Looks very awesome! Can't wait for it to be released.

But I really really hope the final game will have sharper textures, some of them are way to blurry.

  • I am very excited for this! Cannot wait for next year!

  • Very informative. The amount of depth in this game is very nice and surprising and I can't wait to try it out. You can tell they're out to create something really special. I can't wait to see how this game looks like after being polished but as it is it's still very good looking. Now I just have to play the waiting game.

  • Oh man! All month long and no trailer? Oh well - the director's commentary in this video is excellent, so maybe it's for the better.

The game sounds awesome, as always, and visually it's coming together. It looks a little "flat" though to me; the combination of simplistic level geometry (I know it's the Wii, but I'm pretty sure it can throw more polys on the screen than that), flat lighting and no context that just makes it a little lifeless in screens. I mean all the art for this thing is twisted and, well, epic. All the screens seem to be from the first 5-10 minutes of the game I'm guessing, so none of the areas in screenshots are as compelling as the areas in the concept art.

But hey, we don't even know when this is coming out, so I'm not worried. There's far too much care and thought being put into this game to let it end up mediocre. More importantly, it may not read as a visual stunner quite yet, but it still looks and sounds really fun. I still cannot wait for this game - I just really hope we get to see it in motion sooner rather than later:)

And Mr. Spector, Duck Tales 3 better be next=D Or at least, considering doing a Duck Tales remake for XBLA/PSN/WiiWare. Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Kim Possible - all of those Disney properties deserves a great videogame adaptation and life. Who cares if there's no cartoons to hinge them on? You don't need them to be licensed tie-ins, you just need them to be great games, Disney Interactive!

I guess we'll have to wait till GC '10 or e3 2010 before we see a trailer for Epic Mickey, then. *sigh*

Keep up the great work though, Junction Point!

  • I really  love how this is coming along. To be honest, it looks fantastic just the way it is.

  • Wonderful news.

I can see where Warren wants to go with this game, even though visually it's not quite there, yet.

  • i'm interested in the choices the player has and ho that effects the visual representation of mickey and the game play

  • This answered many questions I had and replaced them with others.  Ha, great!

  • Epic Mickey - epic name lol

  • ok... so I DID bad-mouth the visuals for epic mickey. But still... this looks o.k

  • finally... no sign of mickey mouse clubhouse! THIS is a cool idea :)

  • I'm expecting a lot out of Spector. Hopefully, this game delivers.

At the very least, we're getting a good Mickey platformer, like the good ole SNES, Genesis days.

  • I'm wondering if there will be different endings, depending on which Mickey to take preference to, and whether those ending will go from a bad ending, to a good one, or all will place Mickey as a hero, just varying degrees of heroic.

  • This game looks and sounds like it will be a winner and a great exclusive for the Wii.  I was hoping for a look at the game in action, though.
