Vampire Rain: Altered Species To Come To The PS3
Today AQ Interactive announced their plans to bring Vampire Rain: Altered Species to the PlayStation 3. The Stealth action game is being developed by Artoon – the developer of Blue Dragon, Blinx: The Time Sweeper and Yoshi’s Island DS.
"We are very excited to bring Vampire Rain: Altered Species to the PlayStation 3," said Artoon President Naoto Ōshima. "The incredible power of the PS3, will allow us to give gamers a fully immersive experience. This will include: 5.1 channel audio, over 50 hours of gameplay, extra bonus levels, a lot of completely revamped animations, character interactions and much more."
Ford Mustang Up For Grabs With Grid Demo Launch
Today Codemasters clued us into a new giveaway corresponding with the release of the Grid demo launch today. The Grid playable demo challenge is a US-exclusive competition in which the ultimate winner drives away with a eBay Motors branded Ford Mustang GT-R. The Grid playable demo is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network.
In order to participate in the challenge and get a chance to win the $90,000 custom car, download the demo and visit this link to submit your best time. Once authenticated, your lap time will be ranked against all other registered users. The challenge ends May 25 at midnight, were the top five playes will be flown to San Francisco for the Grid launch event June 4. There, they will compete in one final racing challenge for the Mustang.
Haze Demo Now Online

Ryu Hayabusa Gets Some New Duds
Beginning July 2008, XBL users will be able to download three brand new costume packs for Ninja Gaiden II. Purchasable for 200 MS points each, the costume packs will feature brand new looks for Ryu Hayabusa. One of the costume packs will feature the Dark Fiend Armor – inspired by the Hayabusa family falcon namesake – and will only be available in selected countries to 39,000 gamers on launch day as part of a pre-sale promotion. More details will be reviled in the next few weeks.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Announced
Sierra Entertainment brought to light their plans to release The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor on July 22, 2008. In development for the Wii, PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS, the action-adventure will tie in to the newest Mummy sequel set to release this summer.
"The Mummy is one of the most distinctive and expansive franchises in Universal's portfolio, and there is inherent gameplay in the property," said Bill Kispert, Vice President and General Manager of Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group. "The new film amps up the action, introduces a ruthless new villain and takes our heroes to incredible new locations. We are thrilled to bring all these attributes to life in this game."
MLB Power Pros Schedules A Sequel
MLB Power Pros will have a sequel – according to Take-Two’s press release early this morning. MLB Power Pros 2008 is currently under development for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS, and will make its appearance later this fall. The game is the highest-rated and top-selling baseball title in Japan, and was first made available last year in North America.
"We're thrilled to partner with Konami again, and with the Baseball season now in full swing, we're proud to offer our fans a refreshingly smart and exciting baseball game that is easily accessible for all ages," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K.
