E307: Konami Pondering Multiplatform Metal Gear Solid 4

n a recent interview with Reuters, Konami’s Kazumi Kitaue, in charge of the company’s North American and European operations, said he didn’t think Sony’s $100 PlayStation 3 price cut would make much difference in terms of sales. "I don't expect a substantial impact ... With $500, you can buy a personal computer," he said.

The system’s relatively slow start seems to be shaking Konami’s resolve to have one of its flagship titles remain a PlayStation 3 exclusive, as well. "Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps," Kitaue said.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted with what those “steps” may include in coming days. Stay tuned.
