Guitar Hero 4
Guitar Hero has quickly become a legendary name. From its humble beginnings just a few short years ago, the game has quickly risen to have enormous fame around the world and has gained enough pop culture staying power to be given its own South Park episode. Now Guitar Hero 4 is stepping it up considerably with drums, vocals, online career, song creation, a full list of master tracks and more. To find out what’s new and awesome, we snagged Project Director Brian Bright for a few questions on camera.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
The once-ubiquitous 3D platformer seems to have fallen by the wayside in favor of shooters and other violent fare. They’re not all gone, however. A longtime favorite, Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie is coming back for a third game. We talked with Shaun Read, the game’s designer, and Richard Cousins, Banjo-Kazooie 3’s producer, about the company’s return to the franchise and much, much more.

  Developer Interview

Viva Pinata 2
Viva Piñata’s candy-coated exterior masked a nut that was deceptively tough to crack. While the lush and colorful graphics and goofy cast of characters may have screamed “Kid game,” the addictive gameplay and relentless micromanagement requirements kept gamers up late. The sequel, Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise builds on the original, adding toys, traps and much more. We got the scoop from producer Steven Brand.

 Developer Interview

Tales Of Vesperia
Namco Bandai’s Tales series has a history of marrying real-time combat and more conventional RPG storytelling. In the upcoming Tales of Vesperia, the first next-gen release for the series, new themes such as teamwork and leadership enter the mix. We spoke with producer Yoshito Higuchi about the jump to new hardware, morality and, of course, humor.
