Former Telltale Developer Shows 'Alternate Ending' To The Walking Dead's First Season

by Suriel Vazquez on Sep 25, 2018 at 01:29 PM

In the wake of the studio's enormous layoffs and doubtful future, former Telltale Games developer Jake Rodkin, who worked on the first season of the developer's The Walking Dead series, has been reminiscing about his time at the company. While much most of it has been heartfelt memories, photos, and Easter eggs about Telltale and its games, one of his memories should be of interest to Walking Dead fans, even if it's a bit ridiculous.

Rodkin has released an "alternate ending" to the first season of The Walking Dead, which is more for laughs than anything else. "The last week of production on Season 1, it was just me and [Sean Ainsworth] left waiting for any last minute [sic] bigs," Rodkin posted on Twitter. "He made this during that stir crazy week."

The "ending" shows a sequence from the last episode, in which protagonist Lee Everett finds himself in a precarious situation. While the scene plays out with much more impact in its original form, the "alternate" ending certainly has its own style, which I won't ruin for you here. Just watch the video.
